On May 11, 2015, the China-Belarus Local Trade and Economic Cooperation Forum was held at Beijing Hotel in Minsk, the Capital of Belarus. Chinese President Xi Jinping and Belarusian President Lukashenko attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Chinese Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng and the Belarusian Minister of Economy Zinovsky presided over the opening ceremony jointly.
The forum was presided over by the Chairman of the Bureau of Foreign Trade Development of the Ministry of Commerce Sun Chenghai and the Chairman of Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov. Leaders of Chinese provinces like Beijing, Heilongjiang, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Hubei, Sichuan and Gansu made speeches at the forum; the Belarusian Director of the Management Committee of China-Belarus Industrial Park and the leaders of the Minsk city, the Vitebsk city, the state of Minsk, the state of Mogilev, the State of Brest, the State of Gomel and the State of Grodno also made speeches at the forum. After the forum, China and Belarus signed 25 bilateral cooperation agreements in total.
