AK Steel Welcomes The US International ITC Preliminary Injury Determination

US steel producer AK Steel said it welcomes the US International Trade Commission's (ITC) preliminary injury determination in the antidumping (AD) investigations of non-oriented electrical steel from China, Germany, Japan, Korea, Sweden, and Taiwan and the countervailing duty (CVD) investigations of non-oriented electrical steel from China, Korea, and Taiwan. The preliminary injury determination means that cases against non-oriented electrical steel producers in six countries will proceed.

AK Steel filed petitions with the ITC and the United States Department of Commerce on September 30, 2013 charging that unfairly traded imports of non-oriented electrical steel from the abovementioned countries were causing material injury to the domestic industry.
