EU member countries to vote on solar anti-dumping results Nuying Huang,Taipei;Jackie Chang,DIGITIMES [Thursday 20 September 2012]The anti-dumping investigation in the EU has been on-going and the final results will be voted on by member countries.If the result of the vote is to levy punitive duties on China-made solar products,then all member countries have to implement the duties.If the result of the vote is not to levy any punitive measures,then the investigation will come to an end.
EU's anti-dumping investigation against China-based solar firms has yet to announce a retroactive period,hence price falls of solar products have not been significant.Sources in Europe noted that from past cases,the EU does not have the habit of having retroactive periods.This means China-made solar products that have entered ports in Europe before the preliminary results are announced are unlikely to be included as targets for punitive duties.
