In order to further strengthen the compliance work of trade policies, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce has recently published the announcement of No.86 2014 on the Measures for the Implementation of Compliance Work of Trade Policies (Trial) (hereinafter referred to as the Measures) according to the requirements of the Notification on Further Strengthening Compliance Work of Trade Policies by the General Office of the State Council.
The Measures contains 19 articles, which define such contents as the basis and goals of formulation, the coverage of trade policies, the definition of compliance, the suitable subjects, the relevant requirements and procedures of compliance problems proposed in the formulated and planned trade policies, the scope of the responsibilities of MOFCOM and the procedures and time limit for dealing with compliance problems.
After the announcement of the Measures, the normalization and operability of compliance work of trade policies will be strengthened, which will have a guidance meaning for the orderly and effective launch of compliance work of national trade policies.
