Filtration+Separation Is Hosting a Free Webinar on Thursday 16th May

Filtration+Separation, in association with Koch Membrane Systems, is hosting a free webinar on Thursday 16th May (10.00 EST, 15.00 BST, 16.00 CET) on the global wastewater reuse market and will introduce a new wastewater treatment solution using PURON HF modules. Register now

Ultrafiltration (UF) is a key process step in many wastewater reuse schemes – including Reverse Osmosis (RO) pre-treatment. The job of a UF system is essentially the complete removal of solids, producing permeate with a low Silt Density Index (SDI) and high Log Removal Values (LRV) of pathogens. Pressurised In-to-Out UF hollow fibre cartridges are widely used for this type of application.

For high solids applications, however, submerged hollow fibre modules offer a much better solids tolerance and thus improved treatment capabilities. Submerged modules have been a proven technology in membrane bioreactor (MBR) applications. The new PURON® HF (High Flow) builds on the design of PURON MBR module but with a much higher membrane packing density. It offers 44% more membrane area than the current MBR module – within the same product dimension. The result is a high throughput, compact wastewater solution that can be implemented for a low life-cycle cost. With its reinforced hollow fibre and proven single-header, central aeration design the PURON HF is ideal for tertiary applications including RO pre-treatment and surface water treatment.

This webinar will:

• Summarise global markets for water and reuse

• Examine existing technologies for wastewater reuse

• Introduce the new PURON HF submerged membrane module and its key design features

• Explain how its new operating modes and protocols improve system recovery rates and lower life-cycle costs

• Look at operating data from pilot plants

• Present general design aspects of submerged membrane technology for tertiary treatment applications

Who should attend?

Descision makers and design engineers of engineering companies involved in water and wastewater projects. End users of water and wastewater treatment installations.

Speakers

Moderated by Editor of Filtration+Separation Mark Holmes, the speakers will include:

• Robert Eckard, Water Analyst/Consultant and author of Global Markets and Technologies for Water Recycling and Reuse

• Christoph Marner, Senior Process Engineer MBR, Koch Membrane Systems

• Ben Antrim, Process Team Leader, Submerged Membranes, Koch Membrane Systems
