Overview
Historically known as Xiangshan, Zhongshan is the hometown of Mr. Sun Yat-sen. Located in the central south of Pearl River Delta and on the west bank of the Pearl River estuary, adjacent to Macao and Hong Kong, Zhongshan boasts a permanent population of 3.12 million, covering an area of 1,783.67 square kilometers.

Known as "China Lighting Capital", Guzhen is located in the northwest of Zhongshan City and is adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao SARs. The first China (Guzhen) International lighting Fair was successfully held in 1999. After years of efforts, it has become the largest and the most professional lighting fair in China.

There are in Guzhen over 4,000 lighting enterprises, and more than 80,000 people are engaged in this industry.

The lighting industry output totaled 17.3 billion RMB in 2010, accounting for over 60 percent of the domestic market. The products have been sold around China and exported to over 130 countries and regions all over the world.

There is a 10km lighting business street with nearly 3600 lighting shops, and relevant organizations and associations have been established to serve the lighting industry.
