Pregis Unveils Its Foam-in-Place Packaging Technology for European Market

Pregis has unveiled its foam-in-place packaging technology for the European market that is powered by its IntelliPack solution meant to act as cushioning system for automotive parts, valves, areospace and marine products and various tools of irregular shape.

It is meant to act as cushioning system for automotive parts, valves, aerospace and marine products and various tools of irregular shape.

According to the firm, IntelliPack system uses liquid polyurethane that is embedded into a pre-fabricated molding system, and expands around the product to form a customized protective shell to enhance the safety of the packaged product, reported mhwmagazine.co.uk.

Depending on the needs of customers, machines can be selected so that they receive just the necessary amount of packaging material through a unique bar code assigned, in order to allot an optimal protective format.

Pregis Protective Packaging vice president global product development Tom Wetsch claimed that IntelliPack cuts down on waste and over-packaging.

"Its reliability and user-friendly features provide further peace of mind for packing and distribution operations." added Wetsch.

The IntelliPack Advantage Programme announced by the firm offers equipment with training, ongoing support and maintenance without any exclusive investment.
