"Some of the best creative work results from a gradual progression of ideas. David's Manuka Light is an example of this."?David Trubridge's lighting designs incorporate raw nature coupled with geometric design. Drawing inspiration from his native lands of New Zealand, there is no doubt that rich instinct drives his passion for light. This new piece from David merges many components of his older designs into this beautiful New Zealand Manuka tree inspired design.

While sauntering through the bush of New Zealand, David found inspiration from the Mahanga's (a small tree native to New Zealand) leaf shapes. After which one of his designers, Amy Lynch, took the Mahanga's leaf shapes just a step further by rearranging the leaf shapes to make a five-pointed Manuka blossom. The Manuka pendant light is made of bamboo plywood, polycarbonate, aluminum disks and nylon connectors. The light source of the smaller Manuka 800 uses an E27 Bulb and the light source of the Manuka 1100 uses low heat energy efficient LED lights.
