Choo Revealed The First Images of The Collaboration with Contemporary Artist Rob

Rob Pruitt's Signature on Jimmy Choo

High-end shoe label Jimmy Choo revealed the first images of the collaboration with contemporary artist Rob Pruitt announced back in April. The iconic Jimmy Choo Anouk pump was reimagined with the Pruitt's signature use of dégradé color overlaid with French lace.

The range of accessories includes shoes, handbags, and small leather goods all referencing the inimitable style of Pruitt's art. The products are set to debut in Jimmy Choo boutiques and online in November 2012.

From glittering panda bear paintings to sculptural blue jeans to a silvered Andy Warhol monument on public view, Pruitt is known for producing art that is both playful and profound.

"The panda is a recurring image seen throughout the body of my artwork. It's a symbol that reminds us both to tread lightly and to appreciate the adorable. They represent the harmony of yin and yang," said Pruitt.

'We were captivated by Pruitt's energy, his computer screen use of colour and the festive exuberance of his prints and materials; there were elements in his work that reminded us in subtle ways of the Jimmy Choo design iconography. We sensed that Rob's twist on Jimmy Choo glamour would yield something very collectible and uniquely beautiful.' Creative Directors Sandra Choi and Simon Holloway.

Jimmy Choo's partnership with Rob Pruitt follows previous collaborations with contemporary artists such as Nan Goldin for the Cruise 12 Icons Collection, Marilyn Minter for the Cruise 11 Crystal Collection, and Richard Phillips for the Spring Summer 2008 Collection.
