PTI quoted General Motors India saying that its engine facility at Talegaon manufacturing plant in Pune has rolled out the 1,00,000th engine in a short span of around 2 years.
A company source said that within a span of slightly more than 2 years, the plant has crossed the 1,00,000 engines milestone while also maintaining its quality and efficiency standards.

Mr Lowell Paddock President and MM of GM India said that “Crossing the milestone of producing 1,00,000 engines at the power train plant is a testament of our commitment to the Indian market. With the launch of the Chevrolet SAIL U-VA and the forthcoming launches of Chevrolet SAIL and Chevrolet Enjoy, we will be stepping up the production at the plant.”
The Talegaon facility has an initial annual production capacity of 1.60 lakh engines and is designed to accommodate future expansion and currently manufactures TCDi diesel engines in 1.0 liter and 1.3 liter capacities apart from petrol engines in 1.0 liter and 1.2 liter capacities
