After making its debut in Japan, Honda has introduced its FCV Concept at the 2015 North American International Auto Show.
The company is planning to launch the FCV Concept battery electric vehicle by 2016 in the US, and it is also planning to introduce other plug-in hybrid model by 2018.
FCV Concept is a five-seater car which is expected to have driving range of 300 miles.
When compared to its predecessor Honda FCX Clarity, FCV is 33% smaller and has 60% increases in power density.
The car has an aerodynamic body and has clean character lines and with the powertrain packaging that will provide more passenger space than its predecessor.
Honda is also planning to unveil several next-generation advanced powertrain vehicles including plug-in hybrid model (PHEV) and Honda battery-electric vehicle (BEV) which will be equipped with the Honda Earth Dreams Technology.
The company is also planning to introduce 4-cylinder VTEC Turbo engines by the end of 2015.
VTEC Turbo engines will be produced at the company's Anna, Ohio, engine plant where the company is investing $340m for the production of the new engines.
