HGTV Home Furniture is moving to a new 13,287-square-foot showroom on the 12th floor of the International Home Furnishings Center for the spring High Point Market.
The space, opening for the first anniversary of the collection's introduction, will include a redesigned reception area, lobby and showroom address - C-1200 - that will be shared with Bassett, although each collection will be in a separate space. Both collections are manufactured at Bassett's Newton, N.C. factories.
"We have had encouraging commitments to the HGTV Home Furniture Collection brand in our first year and look forward to continuing to develop the line with new collections, accent pieces and upholstery," said Rob Spilman, Bassett president and CEO. "We are moving the collection to its permanent home on the 12th floor, next to the original Bassett showroom and conveniently across from the central Commerce elevators, where we will have more space to fully show the expanded HGTV Home collection in its entirety."
"The new HGTV Home Furniture showroom will give us room to not only show the existing collections, accents and upholstery, but also our new collection, upholstery expansion and new accents," said Renee Loper, vice president of marketing for the HGTV Home line. "In addition, there will be an extensive marketing room to tell the HGTV Home brand partner story. This new showroom also gives us the space to do fun and exciting things, like setting up retail display footprints and recreating looks from the 2013 HGTV Smart Home."
The spring market runs April 20-25.
HGTV is a cable network and distributed to more than 99 million U.S. households. In addition to furniture, the HGTV Home line includes paint, flooring, lighting, soft goods and other home-oriented products.
