Japanese carmaker Honda will unveil the new multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) at the 21st Indonesia International Motor Show that is scheduled to be held in Jakarta during 19-29 September 2013.
The new Honda MPV will be powered by a 1.5L gasoline engine that is expected to generate an out put of about 100hp and is claimed to offer both sporty performance as well as good fuel efficiency.
Developed for the Asian market by Honda R&D Asia Pacific in Thailand and Honda R&D Indonesia, the vehicle is said to be the first Honda product in Indonesia in the MPV segment.
Honda Prospect Motor president director Tomoki Uchida said the new MPV has been developed for the needs of customers and road characteristics in Indonesia.
"This model will also be locally produced in Indonesia as the first product of its new Second Plant in Karawang, scheduled to begin operation in early 2014," Uchida added.
The vehicle comes with seven seats in a 3-row configuration and features spacious cabin, and advanced safety.
