'These books will not feature from January onwards and an exciting new range will launch', read a statement from Chad Valley.

Chad Valley is dropping its line of gendered children's books as of January 2015.

Questioned by the consumer action group Let Toys Be Toys over books like 365 Stories and Rhymes for Boys and 365 Stories and Rhymes for Girls, Chad Valley took to Twitter to announce it was dropping its gender specific book lines.

'They [boys and girls] don’t need separate stories, we agree,' stated Chad Valley.

'These books will not feature from January onwards and an exciting new range will launch.'

This latest victory for Let Toys Be Toys falls under the umbrella of its Let Books Be Books campaign asking children's publishers to drop gender labelling.
