Densitron is developing a range of industrial grade TFT displays that it says can be used as drop-in replacements for a recently obsoleted range of TFTs from Seiko Instruments.In 2010, Densitron entered into a partnership with Seiko Instruments(SII) to distribute its range of industrial grade TFT displays in the UK,Ireland and Italy.
The transmissive TFT displays come in 2.4",2.8",3.5",4.3"and 7.0",and are based on Seiko's patented Fringe Field Switching(FFS)cell structure technology which supports a viewing angle of up to 170°in both horizontal and vertical directions. Now with the Seiko TFTs recently discontinued Densitron is developing a range of industrial grade TFTs that can cover the existing SII display range of sizes between 2in and 7in,with resistive touch versions available.
"The replacement TFTs are specially designed to provide mechanical and hardware and software compatibility with the SII parts,"said Densitron.
The displays will be added to Denitron's DET Industrial TFT range.
