Last year was the best ever for the VTech European group of companies, the European CEO has told ToyNews.
Gilles Sautier confirmed that the company grew to the number seven overall toy manufacturer in Europe and by seven per cent.
In the UK, VTech took the number five spot, also up by seven per cent (NPD Dec 2012).
2012 also saw VTech become the largest infant manufacturer in Europe if the five countries where it is present through its own business are considered: France, the UK, Spain, Germany and Benelux.
"We do expect another year of growth in Europe; we do have the products, both carry forward and new items are terrific and have got a very good reception," Sautier said.
