The Giochi Preziosi Group has appointed Simon Hedge as managing director of the group's UK division, GP Flair.
Hedge (pictured) was formerly SVP sales and marketing at the firm. He now takes overall responsibility of the group's UK subsidiary with immediate effect.
"I am personally delighted to confirm Simon as the MD of GP Flair," said Dario Berte, co-CEO of Giochi Preziosi Group. "In recent years he has shown an incredible passion for taking the company to the top six of UK toy companies, and with his continued dedication we believe that our UK division will continue to move forward."
Hedge added: "It is with great enthusiasm that I take on this new role, especially as Flair has been an important part of my life for many years. I am also delighted to be working alongside many of the original company members, without whom the task of growin the company still further and increasing its position in the sector would be a much more difficult challenge."
Peter Brown, chairman of GP Flair, commented: "it is with considerable pride that I have been able to accompany Simon on his journey from commercial director and founding member of Flair Leisure Products to being managing director of GP Flair."
