Rent-to-own retailer Aaron's has opened 32 company-operated and franchised stores in 17 states and two Canadian provinces in the past three months, the company announced.
"Last year was incredibly strong with a 6.6% increase in store count and financial results that were the best in the company's history," said Ron Allen, chairman, president and CEO of Aaron's, which specializes in the sales and lease ownership of furniture, consumer electronics, appliances and accessories. "We are pleased to begin 2013 with an equally optimistic outlook for store growth and subsequent job opportunities."
New U.S. stores are in Prescott, Maricopa and Buckeye, Ariz.; Tulare and El Cajon, Calif.; Craig, Colo.; Putnam, Conn.; Greenacres, Jacksonville and Yulee, Fla.; Pratt, Kan.; Baton Rouge, La.; Aberdeen, Baltimore and Reisterstown, Md.; New Albany, Miss.; Elizabeth City, N.C.; Concord, N.H.; Taos, N.M.; Hamburg, Rochester, Bronx and Brooklyn, N.Y.; Westerville, Barberton and Hillsboro, Ohio; Seminole, Okla.; Yankton, S.D.; and Rockdale and Plano, Texas.
New Canadian stores are in Grande Prairie, Alberta, and Port Alberni, British Columbia.
Atlanta-based Aaron's said it now has more than 2,075 company-owned and franchised stores in 48 states and Canada.
