Copper Production of Anglo American Was about 650,000 metric tons in 2012

Copper production of global mining company Anglo American was about 650,000 metric tons this year, an increase of 8.5% over 2011.

Anglo American has not announced an official forecast. The growth of Los Bronces Seth copper output helped offset the quickly decline in the production of Collahuasi, the world's third largest copper plan. It is understood that Collahuasi was operated by Anglo American and Xstrata.

According to the data released by the Chilean Copper Commission, the month production of Anglo American Sur (Los Bloom Seth copper-owned company) increased 72.7% to 306,700 metric tons from Jan. to Sep. this year. The production of Keya Vasi mine fell 38.5% to 208,300 metric tons compared with the same period last year.

Anglo American said in a report in July that the second half production of Keya Vasi mine will be affected by the ball mill repair and sustained low grade ore. Los Bronces was experiencing the increase of production, but the project also encountered some setbacks.
