The new chemical requirements of the EU Toy Directive will come in to effect on July 20th, and UL Laboratories is helping manufacturers meet the standards.
The updated Toy Directive will aim to protect children from harmful chemical elements in toys.
And manufacturers will be required to ensure compliance of any raw materials used in toys entering the EU from this July.
UL Laboratories is offering testing solutions to toy manufacturers to ensure compliance.
A statement from UL Laboratories read: "Toys must be manufactured so as to prevent exposure of children to harmful chemical elements.
