Government of India Is Inviting Proposals From Industry Associations

The Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, is inviting proposals from Industry Associations/Groups of Entrepreneurs /Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) for setting up of Integrated Textile Parks (ITPs) under the Scheme for Integrated Textiles Park (SITP) during the remaining part of the 12th Five Year Plan (April 2012 – March 2017).   For the ITPs, Government funding will be 40 percent of the project cost with a ceiling of Rs. 40 crores. For special category states, the funding will be 90 percent subject to ceiling of Rs. 40 crores.  

SITP is being implemented by the Ministry of Textiles with an objective to provide world class infrastructure facilities for setting up textile units. The scheme facilitates textile units to meet international environmental and social standards. Industry Associations/Groups of Entrepreneurs are the main promoters of the ITPs.   Interested Industry Associations/Groups of Entrepreneurs/SPV can submit their proposal for setting up an ITP under the Scheme through any of the empanelled PMCs to Shri R. K. Srivastava, Under Secretary (SITP),  Ministry of Textiles, 339-B, Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi latest by 5:00 P.M on  7th July 2014.   Government of India has empanelled Project Management Consultants (PMCs) for identification of project, preparation of DPR and project implementation.   Click here for the list of PMCs, detailed guidelines and selection criteria.
