Schleich has remodelled and improved its Knights range, with expectations high for the July launch.
After years of featuring a traditional range of Knights, the company decided to renew the collection, taking on more of a fantasy theme.
"We wanted a brand new start and battlefield for our knights, which is why we retired all old models at the end of 2012 and have started afresh," said Laura Bull, UK marketing manager.
"We were keen to avoid the typical black and white categorisation of boys play and of knights. Boys no longer have to pitch good against evil, but rather shrewdness versus physical power. We feel this leaves more scope for creativity and imagination.
"Feedback from the new range has already been fantastic. Pre-orders continue to come in from independents and key accounts. Our expectations are very buoyant."
