Specialty chemical company, Vertellus Specialties, is expanding its managed logistics service agreement with Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corporation (OL&T)
Under the agreement, Vertellus will include its worldwide operations across Europe and Asia encompassing India and China .
Vertellus Specialties global supply chain corporate director Hugh Mitchell said the company is now looking to OL&T to help facilitate its goal in executing a worldwide program that offers a complete and consistent view of supply chain patterns throughout the different regions it serve.
"This centralized approach will be key in helping us plan and better manage transporting products across our supply chain," Mitchell added.
OL&T client services VP Charlie Midkiff said the expansion of the company's partnership is the result of a comprehensive analytical data assessment that uncovered significant opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings through a centralized and highly-transparent logistics program.
"We did the homework and identified the gaps in transportation operations, and we are confident that by working together we will continue to uncover process improvements that optimize and streamline operations in multiple areas including supply chain management," Midkiff added.
