ZF Has Relocated Its Passenger Car Plant at Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate

Automotive supplier ZF Friedrichshafen has relocated its passenger car plant at Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate to Rayong, Thailand.

With the relocation to the new plant, ZF is expected to expand the production area in Thailand from 3,500mt2 to 7,000mt2 and also create an additional scope for expansion at the new site.

The regional subsidiary ZF Lemforder is expected to manufacture axle systems for passenger cars at the new Rayong facility.

Since April 2012, the new facility has been manufacturing axle systems for Thailand and the Region of Asia-Pacific with a workforce of 135 people.

ZF Lemforder Thailand has been supplying axle systems for BMW, Mercedes-Benz and General Motors (GM) and now the company has also managed to secure Ford as a customer.
