The SEMI Book-to-Bill Was 1:04 in August

The SEMI book-to-bill was 1:04 in August, down from the 1.07 of July, the 1.10 of June and the 1.06 of March, but up from the 1.0 of May and the 1.03 of April.

"The SEMI Book-to-Bill ratio has been at or above parity for 11 consecutive months, and both current month bookings and billings continue to trend well above 2013 levels,”says Denny McGuirk, CEO of SEMI, “strong equipment spending growth for the year is observed across the fab and testtest is test and assembly segments.”

August bookings were $1.35 billion – 5% lower than July 2014 bookings of $1.42 billion, and is 26.5% higher than the August 2013 order level of $1.06 billion.

August billings were $1.29 billion – 2% lower than July’s $1.32 billion, and 19.5% higher than the August 2013 billings level of $1.08 billion.
