The company behind Moshi Monsters says it will test out its next properties on tablets before launching toys.
Mind Candy has already announced its ambition to become "a company that has franchises", and now its CEO Michael Acton Smith has confirmed that several are in the works.
Speaking to ToyNews at the London Evening Standard Business Connections event, Acton Smith said: "We've got multiple new brands progressing. Everything we do will be about family entertainment and will always start on tablet.
"If it's successful on tablets, then we will make the bigger bounce into toys, cartoons, films and everything else.
"We want to prove that the brand resonates first in the tablet space. We think it's far smarter to do things that way rather than go all guns blazing with toys."
