Benninger AG's Textile Equipments in India Is Selled by Voltas

Voltas, a Tata Group Company, has inked a deal for marketing and selling textile equipments produced by Switzerland-based Benninger AG in India, a statement from Voltas said.
 
Marking its presence in the textile industry for over 150 years, the Benninger Group engages in production of textile processing, finishing and cord production ranges, which enables it to provide total system solution. The firm now operates branches and has service representatives across the world.
 
The collaboration is expected to help both the companies to boost their outreach in India’s burgeoning textile equipment market, the statement said.
 
The deal would focus on utilizing Benninger’s potential in producing groundbreaking products and its prolonged expertise in ‘continuous wet processing’, while developing Voltas’ long-standing sales and marketing network across India.
 
While trying to grow and extend its regional business network by strengthening its ties with the customers across the complete textile value chain, Voltas would help Benninger to explore new consumer segments in knit and woven continuous processing, in line with the company’s existing product range, the statement said.
 
Gerhard Huber, Chief Executive Officer, Benninger AG said the tie-up would provide the required market enhancement to the company’s products and better position the firm as a market and technology leader.
 
He said they are quite optimistic that the distribution pact, combined with the responsive consumer centric service and support extended by their Indian subsidiary, Benninger India Pvt Ltd would prove to be a beneficial proposition for both the firms and also for the customers.
 
Voltas Senior General Manager (Operations) C Kamatchisundaram said banking on their marketing and distributing strength coupled with Benninger’s pioneering products, they expect to become a preferred choice for Indian textile industry customers.
