Promotion and Strengthening of Export Prospects for Bangladesh Made Products Was Organized

Through a joint initiative, Tradegood, Intertek and Sourcing at Magic organized a seminar on ‘Promotion and Strengthening of Export Prospects for Bangladesh Made Products in US and EU markets’, which was held on 22nd April, 2013, at the Antara Hall of Radisson BLU Water Garden Hotel, Dhaka.

The presence of the guest of honour Mr. Atiqul Islam, President, BGMEA was accompanied by special guests Mr. Syed Nasim Manzur, President, Leathergoods & Footwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association of Bangladesh, Mr. S.U. Haider, President, Bangladesh Handicrafts Manufacturers and Exporters Association and Mr. Mohammad Hatem, First Vice President, BKMEA. 

In the course of the event, Intertek Softlines and Tradegood Bangladesh also launched new services, ‘Electrical Safety Assessment’ and ‘Energy Audit’ which was the highlight of the day. This was followed by distribution of Sustainability awards. A special ‘Buyer-Seller Business Matching session’ was organized during the programme for paid members of ‘Tradegoods Bangladesh’. 

Various presentations focused on the exports of Bangladesh in various industries including garment, handicrafts, leather goods, footwear, knit industry, etc. The event ended on a vote of thanks from Mr. Habibur Rahman, Senior Manager – Sales and Marketing, Intertek Softlines, Bangladesh.
