Hit historic, time-traveling TV series Outlander has taken its first steps into the toy market with its latest licensing partners.
Tonner has come on board to develop a line of limited edition 16-inch and 17-inch collectable dolls inspired by characters from the series, while Toy Vault will deliver an Outlander board game.
In agreement with Sony Pictures Television and brokered by Knockout Licensing, the new signings add to Outlander’s ever growing portfolio of partners in the consumer products category.
Outlander is a television series adapted from New York Times bestselling book series by author Diana Gabaldson. The series spans genres and time periods a it follows the adventures of Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945 who is swept back to 1743 where she meets Jamie Fraser, a Scottish warrior.
The series has garnered much popular and critical acclaim including a People’s Choice Award for Favourite Cable Sci-Fi/Fantasy show and the Critics’ Choice Award for Most Exciting New Series.
Season two of Outlander is scheduled to air in spring 2016.
