Qatar's Ministry of Environment has announced some guidelines regarding rebar imports to improve the quality of building and construction materials in the country.
Accordingly, Qatar has banned imports of rebar below grade 500, indicating that the test report for rebar should be issued by an accredited laboratory and be valid for three months.
The ministry said that if, the test report is from the steel producer's own laboratory, it must be approved and ratified by an internationally recognized third party.
