Electrical Safety Consulting to Industry
in an effort to ensure workers are not exposed to the electrical hazards of arc flash and shock. The positions available offer the opportunity to work with a leading and innovative company providing unique electrical safety consulting to industry. You must be familiar with CSA Z462 Workplace Electrical Safety and NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.
Responsibilities
Lead consultant and Project Manager on External Electrical Safety Audit projects including writing Electrical Safety Audit Reports. These projects involve implementing the ESPS Electrical Safety Audit Process.
Lead consultant and Project Manager on Electrical Safety Program development projects. Manage projects with the client to assist them in developing and implementing an Electrical Safety Program.
Primary instructor in classroom-based Arc Flash & Shock Training. Both 1-day and 2-day courses, and for Electrical Workers and Non-Electrical Workers.
Lead consultant in Qualified Electrical Worker Electrical Safety Competency Validation Projects.
P.Eng. Electrical Engineer completing engineering incident energy analysis studies for ESPS clients.
Requirements
Journeyman Electrician, P.Eng. Electrical Engineer, or Certified Electrical Technologist with over 10 years of experience in low- and high-voltage power systems.
Passionate about safety in the workplace.
Knowledge of CSA Z462 Workplace Electrical Safety and NFPA 70E Standard for Electricity in the Workplace.
Knowledge of the CEC or NEC.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter.
Willing to travel across Canada and internationally.
Work may be required 7 days of the week and into the evening, depending on the work assignment.
Note: The applicant will be an Electrical Safety Consultant providing advice and services to ESPS clients, following ESPS's established electrical safety consulting processes, and using ESPS's systems.
