Retail-ready packaging(RRP)solutions provider Polymer Logistics announced the launch of its new smart pallet,Roll n'Pall that serves as a pallet as well as a heavy duty dolly to enhance productivity throughout the supply chain and increase in-store product availability.
According to the company,the pallet features a four-wheeled base that can be easily maneuvered on the retail floor,and with its foot-activated mechanism,it can be locked into the sales fixture.
The all-in-one pallet packaging and dolly solution replaces the use of materials handling equipment and facilitates safe and easy in-store handling,besides minimizing the time and cost of replenishment.
Polymer Logistics managing director UK Adrian Dale said,"In trials so far,retailers have more than halved their replenishment times compared to traditional shelf merchandising,which not only reduces costs but also frees up staff to assist customers,thereby improving the overall shopping experience."
