Rooms To Go has launched the Sofia Vergara Collection in stores, featuring contemporary living room, dining room and bedroom furniture and accessories.
The roughly 130-store Top 100 company announced plans for the exclusive licensed collection through Latin World Entertainment Licensing earlier this year. Vergara stars in ABC's popular "Modern Family."
The new collection "will be merchandised and displayed in complete room groupings designed to provide customers with inspiration, affordability and ease of shopping," the retailer said in a release.
RTG has yet to disclose the number of SKUs in the collection. Its website shows three living room groups; three bedrooms and two dining room groups. Seven-piece Catalina and Kinney living rooms are retailing for about $1,500. Five-piece bedrooms are priced from $1,000 to $1,300. And five-piece dining rooms are retailing for $900.
Vergara, a businesswoman and actress, was named one of the world's most powerful Latinas by Forbes Magazine, beginning her career on a U.S. Hispanic network and successfully crossing over to the general market. She has been nominated four times for an Emmy and three times each for the Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards for her "Modern Family" role.
