In view of strong demand, China-based PV module makers have hiked quotes by nearly 3% in the China market, according to industry sources.
The increases have been most significant in the 255W and above segment, with quotes having risen to CNY4.1 (US$0.64) per watt currently from CNY3.95 in November the sources said.
As the China government has extended applicability of 2015 feed-in tariff rates to PV projects approved by the end of 2015 and connected to grids by the end of June 2016, there has been a rush for installations, which is likely to continue in first-half 2016, the sources indicated.
