Activision Publishing has revealed its plans to launch a new set of premium Skylanders toys this autumn.
The firm revealed its intentions to release a series of eight limited edition collectible characters at this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego.
Titled Eon’s Elite, the range will feature collectable versions of fan-favourite Skylanders characters, kicking off with Spyro and Chop Chop.
Each of Eon’s Elite will style ‘never-before-seen decoration with distinctive finishes,’ and when played in-game will be up to three times as powerful over other characters.
"Eon’s Elite represents the most iconic characters from the original Skylanders games that started it all,” said Josh Taub, senior vice president of product marketing at Activision Publishing.
"These eight toys are not only premium quality but also honour the character’s strength, courage and commitment. We are excited to extend our fans’ collections with this new line.”
Eon’s Elite characters will be available in limited quantities across North America, New Zealand and Europe.
