Organisers of Texworld, which runs from February 9-12, 2015 say, they have received exceptional rate of registration for the trade show.
Indian textile body - Texprocil, which normally participates in the winter edition of Texworld, is now extending its presence to the summer show of the trade fair.
Texprocil which is responsible for promoting Indian cotton textiles is also helping silk manufacturers, lacemakers and embroiderers to exhibit at Texworld, is partaking with almost 35 exhibitors.
Texprocil hopes to grab a bigger share of the European market for Indian exhibitors by attending the summer event.
Most of the Indian companies exhibiting at the show already export a good part of their output, primarily to Europe and the USA.
Indian cotton textile producers are recognised and appreciated by European buyers for the quality and variety of their range for men, women and children.
Exhibitors from other textile manufacturing countries including China, South Korea, Turkey and Pakistan are exhibiting at Texworld.
“The situation in the textile and fashion industry is more favourable and is encouraging weavers to attend Texworld Paris, says Michael Scherpe, CEO of Messe Frankfurt France.
He adds, “Our selection committee is very happy with the large number of applications received, with proposals of very high quality.”
In particular, Texworld will host the Frankfurt Style Award, a competition, well established in German-speaking countries and which has been promoting young designers since 2007.
The support of players from the textile and fashion industries, among them S. Oliver and Fraport, has given it an international profile.
The Style Award show will feature sharp, eclectic, contemporary and responsible style by university and international fashion and design school graduates. (AR)
