Japan-based Keiyo Ethylene which had shut a naphtha cracker owing to mechanical issues, has restarted the cracker. A Keiyo official informed fibre2fashion that the cracker which was shut on April 30 due to mechanical issues has been restarted on May 9. He further added that they do not have any plans for maintenance this year but probably it could happen next year. Located in Ichihara, Chiba prefecture, Japan, the naphtha cracker has a production capacity of 740,000 mt/year.
