2002-2006 Cr-V Vehicles Are Recalled by Honda in Us

Japanese vehicle manufacturer Honda will recall about 268,000 model-year 2002-2006 CR-V vehicles in the US to inspect and repair or replace the power window master switch.

According to Honda, under severe conditions, rain water or other spilled liquids may enter through an open driver 's window and enter the master power window switch on the driver 's door.

The automaker said that over time, exposure to water and other fluids can cause electrical resistance in the switch, which can cause the switch to overheat and melt, damaging the switch and potentially damaging an associated wire harness.

Honda said owners have reported four fires but no injuries or crashes associated with the issue.

Recently, Honda recalled over 820,000 Civic compact cars and Pilot sport utility vehicles (SUVs) due to a headlight problem across the US.
