Esdevium Games is toasting the success of its first own Fantasy Flight Games National Championships for a number of leading tabletop titles.
Last weekend saw 500 gamers flock to Birmingham’s International Convention Centre for a three-day event in which players did battle across games such as Star Wars X-Wing, Android: Netrunner and A Game of Thrones the Card Game.
Each player was competing to be named the UK champion of their favoured game and to win a spot at the world Championships in Roseville, Minnesota thi November.
Esdevium’s demonstrations and organised play manager, Mike Budd, said: “The reaction we have had from the FFG community ha been amazing.
“To work on an event of this scale and to receive such a positive response from the player base has been immensely rewarding. It was the first time we have organised the Nationals, but the feedback we have received has been really encouraging and will help us make any future events even better.”
