India based packaging firm Uflex has expanded its partnership with WaveFront Technology to manufacture Fresnel lens packaging films in Europe.
The partners plan to commence film manufacturing in the final quarter of 2016.
The collaboration will operate within Flex Films Europa’s facility in Wrzesnia, Poland. WaveFront Technology Europe will be responsible for the sales and marketing activities.
Flex Films Europa is a indirectly wholly owned subsidiary of Uflex.
Uflex chairman and managing director Ashok Chaturvedi said: “This is an important geographical extension of our existing relationship with WaveFront Technology.
“We have built up an excellent working relationship in India and we anticipate working closely with the WaveFront Europe team to increase market penetration and new product development in the years ahead.”
Uflex said that it will work closely with WaveFront Europe to increase market penetration and develop new products in future.
Chaturvedi added: “The ties with WaveFront will further enhance our ‘Speed to Market Reach’ in Europe - one of the core pillars of our global business strategy that has always given us the competitive edge.”
WaveFront said that it expects to significantly enhance its concept of Design-Develop-Deliver in Europe by working with Flex Films in Poland and by leveraging capabilities of Uflex Holography Business in India.

In 2012, Uflex expanded its film manufacturing business into Poland afterentering the UAE, Mexico, Egypt and the US.
Uflex has packaging facilities at various locations in India with a capacity of around 100,000t per annum.
