Italy-based technology provider Sacmi is set to unveil its new aseptic rotary filler for Bag in Box containers at the international wine-making machine fair Simei 2013 to be held during 12-16 November in Milan.
The Bag in Box rotary filler is claimed to perform the aseptic filling tasks in six separate steps including g bag loading and unloading, spraying of cap and feed gate with hydrogen peroxide, sterilization, removal of cap, filling and capping.
Bag in Box features a filling chamber that offers safety and aseptic conditions during production.
The new machine is said to be suitable for oenological products, soft drinks, dairy drinks, sauces, and fruit syrups, and can be used with bags ranging in sizes from 1.5L to 20L.
The machine is expected to perform aseptic filling at an output rate of about 850 pieces/hour.
Bag in Box will be designed and built at Sacmi Pakim and is expected to cover the entire packaging line operations including the filling-packaging combi unit, handle application and pick and place units.
Additionally, the machine comes with a pouring tap and gravity-drop bag that is claimed to protect the product from being in contact with air or any other oxidant or contaminant.
