US toy firm, Alex Toys has recalled around 91,000 of its playsets over fears the products could pose choking hazards to young children.
Alex Jr baby Builders, First Pops and First Snaps contain a selection of lastic shapes that are designed to snap together to make structures.
Sold at Barnes and Noble, Land of Nod and online at Zulily.com across the US, the builds have been classed as posing choking risks to young children by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, owing to their detachable parts.
According to CNBC, an additional 5,600 sets were sold in Canada.
While no injuries have been caused to date, 22 cases have been reported of small parts detaching from the sets.
The Baby Builders sets were sold from December 2009 through to June 2016 for around $28. First Pops were sold from March 2009 through June 2016 and the First Snaps were sold from March 2009 through October 2010.
Consumers are being encouraged to contact Alex toys for a prepaid shipping envelope to return the products. The company will offer a full refund once it receives the returned set.
