Beira Group Is Planning to Convert Plastics Waste Into Quality Yarn

The particular plant at the Horana industrial estate south of Colombo Sri Lanka was built with an investment expenditure of 300 million rupees to produce high-quality yarn using plastic waste as raw material.

"The yarn produced will be used to produce a range of brushes for sanitary maintenance industry by the Beira Group," the investment promotion agency said.

Chairman of Beira Group, mentioined that the plant, which has obtained the eco friendly Certificates from the US, might help to reduce waste and protect the environment.

Beira Group produces brushes, brush backs and fibres to tailor – made specifications and competes with brush making companies from China, Vietnam, Australia and Europe.

The Beira group supplies unprocessed, semi-processed and processed products to the sanitary maintenance industry worldwide.
