NatWest, a member of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS), has funded new machinery for Derbyshire packaging company Custompak.
Custompak managing director John Baldwin said, "Like many small businesses, it's been an uphill struggle but we had the resources in place to weather the storm. Now it's about moving ahead and upgrading our machinery was vital to this."
The company was able to fund the purchase of a new case maker, sample making tables and an air compressor to maintain the machinery.
Custompak, which lost four of its five major customers during the recent recession, decided to improve customer service and kickstart growth by upgrading its technology.
The company delivers high volume orders as well as bespoke packaging to clients ranging from glass and chinaware through to industrial equipment.
