This piece, called the It Takes an Hour Sideboard, is part of a new line of Van Thiel & Co. antique replicas that will be distributed in North America by Four Hands.
AUSTIN, Tex. - Full-line furniture supplier Four Hands has been named North American distributor for high-end antique furniture replica manufacturer Van Thiel & Co.
Four Hands will show Van Thiel items in its showroom at Showplace 4101 during the High Point Market, which opens April 20. Van Thiel says it has developed a worldwide network of resources for discovering rare and unique furniture items.
"We feel like the combination of our expanding product offering with Four Hands' distribution and service model will offer our customers the best experience in the industry," Rudy Van Thiel, founder of Van Thiel, said in a press release.
Van Thiel said its line has expanded into the production of solid wood case goods with hand-applied finishes reflecting true antique patinas. The debut will feature more than 200 products including bench-made replicas, dining and occasional tables, accents pieces and upholstery with fine European fabrics.
