The optoNCDT 1402 SC sensor has an IP69K protection rating, and so meets the requirements of the food processing industry. The sensor can therefore be subjected to high-pressure jet washing at all times. The high quality housing is in V4A stainless steel, combined with mineral glass optics, ensuring long term operational readiness. By not using labels or removable labels, the optoNCDT 1402SC is designated as food-safe.
Although the sensor cannot measure underwater due to its operating principle, it can continue measuring after being dipped in water. Even contact with brine is not a problem. Due to its very low power consumption of just 50mA, the sensor can be used in wireless power transmission applications. The optoNCDT 1402 SC provides reliable results, even when operating conditions are more challenging.
The sensor’s electronics are similar to the standard optoNCDT 1402 model, so the same technical data applies, e.g. a frequency of 1.5kHz, linearity of 0.18% and a resolution of 0.01%. Eight different models are available, with measuring ranges between 5mm and 600mm.
