XMOS has added an ADC to its multicore processors for industrial applications, such as sensors, actuators and motor controllers.
The Bristol-based company will release 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16-core microcontrollers with ADCs, calling this the A-series to differentiate it from the existing L-series.
A 16 core device will deliver up to 1,000Mips, director of project management Ali Dixon told Electronics Weekly.
