Engineering and logistics automation company Dematic has launched a voice rental program aimed at helping warehouse and distribution centre managers meet the demands of peak sales periods.
Dematic’s Australian and New Zealand customers will be the first to benefit from the Dematic Voice Rental Program. Voice customers can now rent a variety of voice equipment from Dematic for use by seasonal staff. The program is designed to provide a flexible, short-term option that users of Vocollect Voice can turn to during busy periods, such as the Christmas rush.
Dematic’s general manager of Real Time Logistics Brian Lang said the Dematic Voice Rental Program provides a customised voice option better catered to warehouses and distribution centres that experience temporary fluctuations in picking demands in line with peak retail sales periods.
"Dematic works closely with customers to understand their unique needs and goals,” Mr Lang said. “In the past, customers were required to choose between purchasing or leasing voice installations that met their overall long-term business requirements, including peak periods. Now with the new Voice Rental Program, customers have a cost-efficient stop-gap service that supports order fulfilment when temporary upsurges in demand occur.”
