Project has hit the 10,000 supporters mark and will now move into the Review stage of the process.
A LEGO set based on Pixar's WALL•E has garnered enough support to move onto the next stage at LEGO Ideas.
The project, by user Maclane who actually worked on the movie, has hit the 10,000 supporters mark and will now move into the Review stage of the process.
Set to start in September, the Review process will see a LEGO Review Board composed of designers, product managers, and other key team members examine the idea. When finished, the board then make a decision whether or not to develop and sell the LEGO WALL•E set.
A statement from the LEGO Ideas team read: 'I know that guy. It's uh, uh... WALL•E. That's it ...and he's reached 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas, thanks to LEGO fans around the world.
'This model has such a great story, given that you built it while working on the film itself. We can't think of a more apropos builder to reach 10k for a WALL-E project than you, MacLane.'
