Japan-based Idemitsu Kosan has lowered the operating rates at one of its benzene plants.
“The benzene plant located in Tokuyama is currently operating at slightly more than 80% rates,” an Idemitsu official informed fibre2fashion
When quizzed on any imminent turnaround at the plant, he said the next turnaround is scheduled in April 2014 and will last for 45 days.
The benzene plant has a production capacity of 219,000 tons per annum.
